🥳🍾🎈 RELEASE DAY. Our debut CD is out now! It was quite a journey, and one thing we can say for sure: we have learnt a lot through the process! We hope you will enjoy listening to this colourful bouquet of works by Haydn, Ligeti and Hensel. 💐
Ligeti is one if the musical fathers of chaos, and he was a big admirer of Haydn. In fact, he kept studying works of the master when looking for compositional solutions himself. Haydn’s f-minor quartet goes through a path from most tragic f-minor to a liberating fugue, from sickness to the triumph of life. Ligeti’s Métamorphoses nocturnes go from the lowest note of the cello to the heavenly stars✨ . Fanny Hensel finally continues the metamorphosis throughout the four movements of her jewlery box piece, from tonal ambiguity to a true E-flat-major-party in the last movement. Relief. RELEASE!

Head a great time at @stgeorgesbristol and a very enthusiastic audience, as you can hear on the live broadcast 🤣 Special thanks to lovely Ildi and Sandu, who took us out for lunch, organised a rehearsal space and supported us through our days here. These are the meetings and moments that give sense to a sometimes insane travel schedule ❤️

🇸🇰 It was a crazy week: we came from @classixfestival over @stgeorgesbris Bristol to @festival_konvergencie and went on to play at @bozarbrussels before we finally travelled to Snape Maltings for our @brittenpearsarts residency. Nevertheless, we were welcomed so wholeheartedly and generously in Bratislava that it did not feel like a burdon at all to perform a concert dedicated to works of Mozart. Among the pieces was an “old friend” of ours, the Clarinet Quintet, now played with clarinetist Ronald Šebesta. And backstage, we finally met finish composer Olli Mustonen! Huge shoutout to the team of the festival - see you again soon, hopefully 🙏🏼🌸
