Opus 20 quartets reimagined – chamber music theatre
This performance reimagines Haydn’s Sun Quartets for modern ears. Framed as short staged episodes, this imaginative six-part series pairs Haydn’s Op. 20 with new compositions and texts by Joke van Leeuwen. The Chaos String Quartet performs alongside Dutch actress Ariane Schluter, who brings to life a cast of contemporary characters – each with a personal link to the music. A fresh take on the string quartet, full of humanity, warmth and unexpected perspectives.
